Connectors
Add custom HTTP MCP connectors for advanced integrations.
Connectors let you attach external HTTP MCP servers for advanced integrations. Configure them under Settings → Connectors.
Connectors are not used by Ask questions today. They are for the main chat product when that UI is enabled. You can create and manage connectors, but Ask questions does not call them.
To let ChatGPT, Cursor, or Claude Desktop use your Speechdash library, use the official MCP server. See API keys and MCP. This page only attaches third-party MCP servers to Speechdash.
When to use connectors
Use connectors when you need Speechdash to reach a private API, internal tool, or third-party MCP endpoint over HTTP. Most listeners never need this page.
Create a connector
Open Settings → Connectors.
Click Add connector.
Enter a name, URL, and optional custom HTTP headers (for API keys or auth).
Save. Open the connector detail page to edit or delete it.
Security
- Store secrets in headers only when you trust the endpoint
- Use HTTPS URLs in production
- Remove connectors you no longer use
