How included credits, purchased credits, and the sidebar progress bar work.
Speechdash uses a credit wallet for Cloud playback and AI features. Eco listening does not spend credits.

Unlimited included credits reset on the calendar month (UTC). They do not roll over.
Sidebar display
The footer shows credits as a progress bar without dollar amounts. Click it to open Settings → Billing.
What spends credits
- Cloud playback (~1 credit/min at 1×)
- Ask questions messages (1 credit surcharge per reply + tokens)
- Chat speak-aloud in Cloud mode (~1 credit/min)
- Version generation (1 credit surcharge + tokens) and Enhance (1 credit surcharge + tokens)
- PDF import (0.5 credits per started MB, minimum 0.5)
- MP3 export (0.5 credits per started 30s; Cloud server cache hits are free)
- Translate (0.5 credits per started 30s of estimated speech; same rate as MP3 export)
