Playback controls
Play, pause, skip sentences, scrub the timeline, change voice, and open Ask questions.
The playback bar is how you listen. On mobile it docks full-width at the bottom; on desktop it is a centered floating pill. It is hidden in edit mode and while a PDF import is still extracting text.

| Previous / Next | Jump to the previous or next spoken sentence (skipped lines and code blocks are omitted) | Free |
| Timeline slider | Scrub by sentence across the whole version | Same as Play for uncached Cloud sentences |
| Speed | 0.5× to 2.5× for this version, immediately | Cloud bills spoken audio time |
| Voice popover | Voice preset, listening language, Eco or Cloud | Eco is free local synthesis. Cloud uses the Cloud rate. Settings save on this version |

| Mic | Click to record, click to stop. Pauses playback, opens Ask questions, pastes the transcript (not sent) | Dictation is not Cloud playback billing |

If Eco cannot run, Cloud is used when it is available. If Cloud is unreachable, playback can fall back to Eco. See Eco mode vs Cloud mode.
