What is Speechdash?

What voices are available?
Ten AI characters (Nathan, Sophie, Emma, and others). See AI voices and characters.
How do I start?
Drop a file or click Browse files on the homepage. See Quick start.
Which file types are supported?
.txt, .md, .pdf, audio, and video. You upload a file; pasted text and URLs are not supported. See Upload text files and Upload a PDF.
Listening
What is Eco mode vs Cloud mode?
Eco runs locally and is unlimited. Cloud uses servers and credits. See Eco mode vs Cloud mode.
Does listening use credits?
Only Cloud mode. Eco is free on all plans.
How many languages are supported?
a wide range of languages for import, listening, and transcription. See Supported languages.
Documents and library
How many documents can I store?
Free: 3 documents per day. Unlimited: unlimited. Guests share the Free daily cap, including across new guest sessions on the same network.
How large can an upload be?
Free: about 30 minutes of speech and 1 file at a time. Unlimited: 10 hours / 5 GB and 50 files at a time. PDFs are also capped at 20 MB. See Plans and pricing.
Can I transcribe audio or video?
Yes, after you sign up. Free: 30 minutes per file and 1 job at a time. Unlimited: 10 hours and 5 jobs uploading or processing at once. Each server processes one file at a time; extra jobs wait in the queue. Files are capped at 500 MB. See Plans and pricing.
Can I organize documents?
Yes: folders, star, archive, and search. See Library overview.
Billing
How much does Unlimited cost?
$10/month billed yearly ($120/year) or $20/month. See Plans and pricing.
What spends credits?
Cloud playback, Ask questions, AI versions, enhance, PDF import, MP3 export, and audio transcription. See What uses credits.
Do credit packs expire?
No. Purchased and referral credits never expire.
Referrals and discounts
How do referrals work?
Share your link: +10/+10 on signup, +500 when a friend goes Unlimited. See Referrals.
How do I get a student discount?
Submit Get discount from the user menu. See Apply for a discount.

How do I delete my account?

Is there a desktop app?
Yes. Sign in via the browser on the device login flow.

API and MCP
How do I call Speechdash from my own app?
Create a key under Settings → API, then call https://api.speechdash.com/v1. Every public route is listed in API keys and MCP and the API overview.
Can ChatGPT or Cursor use my library?
Yes. Add the official MCP server. ChatGPT uses OAuth; Cursor and Claude Desktop use your API key. All 11 tools (account, documents, translate, export, voices, speech) are listed in API keys and MCP. Streaming speech stays on REST.
